“As our technical specialist, your role will be twofold. One day, you might be in your white shirt working on an internal business case – while the next day, you’ve put on your rubber boots and are connecting with a farmer out in the field. I personally love the variety of tasks and variation in my workday,” explains Michael Petersen Rose, our Commercial Lead for the Nordics.
At our European Innovation Center (EIC) in Hørsholm, you will step into a multicultural environment with approx. 130 colleagues with 27 different nationalities. At EIC, we manage everything from IT, procurement and HR to logistics, planning, registration, marketing, sales and distribution. Besides those vital functions our site is focused on research and development, and we have recently become the Global Plant Health Center for FMC.While maintaining our current crop protection portfolio, we are pivoting towards an increased focus on the development of biologicals and a more sustainable product portfolio.
Help lay the groundwork for a new team
As our new technical manager, you will join a brand-new Nordic team, which currently consists of a business development manager in Finland, a business development manager in Sweden. The Commercial Lead for the Nordics, Michael, is responsible for Denmark and Norway.
Our primary goal as a team is to drive sales in the Nordic countries, and we are typically working with 13-14 large wholesale customers as well as our end users – the farmers.
Support our commercial efforts with technical insight
Your role in the team will be to provide technical support to further strengthen our commercial efforts. This might entail giving technical presentations to customers, local advisory services, and farmers, as well as giving local input to FMC projects and providing local data to internal business cases.
